Humber has conceived and produced exciting and innovative landscape projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Landscape Plans for Every Budget
’In-House’ Custom Design Service $85.00 (At Humber)
Our most popular alternative allows you to participate directly in the creation of your own unique landscape design and you also receive a $20 Gift Card (redeemable for any product or installation offered by Humber Nurseries).
Each appointment is for a front OR back yard, based on an overall lot size of 40’ - 50’ wide x 120’ long.
For corner lots, front AND back yard designs, please book a double appointment.
It’s a simple, easy process:
a) Appointments can be made in person, at our inside store, or by phone (905) 794-0555 or (416) 798-8733 ext. 223. Payment is required at time of booking.
b) Pick up your Humber Landscape Planning Guide when booking your appointment or we can mail it to you when booking by phone.
c) Complete the basic information required by following the step by step instructions in the Planning Guide.
d) Bring your completed Humber Planning Guide and your photos to your approx. 45 minute consultation. Your input and comments help ensure that your custom detailed drawing will be ’just right’ for you and your home.
’On-Site’ Consultation
A professional landscape drawing completed to scale after a consultation at your residence or business:
a) $600 for front OR back yard, based on standard 40’ - 50’ × 120’ lot, and receive a $50 Humber Gift Card.
b) $900 for front AND back yard based on a standard 40’ - 50’ × 120’ lot.
c) $1000 and up (depending on location and lot size) for front or back yards of larger residential and commercial sites.
d) When you purchase any of the ’on-site’ designs you will receive a $50 Humber Gift Card (with purchase of $600 or higher design).
Please Note:
A distance surcharge will apply to 'on-site' consultations outside a 16 km radius of our Brampton nursery at the rate of $95 and up.

Choose from over 50 pre-printed landscape designs each depicting a different front yard, back yard or feature area.
Hardscapes, walks, walls and ponds
Landscaping has become a broader field over the years with new landscaping innovations and specialities. Our landscape designer will be able to incorporate any hardscape design into your plan. Humber works with a list of credible and reliable contractors that are able to implement these designs into your dream landscape.
Commercial Property Landscaping
Commercial landscaping has been a large part of our business for over 50 years, including such accounts as: Greenpark Homes, Starlane Homes, Graham Construction, Loblaws, The Woodbine Entertainment Group and various golf clubs.
We have the professional staff and resources to get the job done on time and within budget, from the planning stage to job completion. Our staff includes a member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects, landscape designers and plant material installers. Planting fees are quoted on an individual basis. We will gladly provide estimates against your drawings.

This summer I had the distinct pleasure of meeting your Landscape Manager, Mr. Peter Stevens.
Mr. Stevens came to my house to discuss developing a landscape design. I was initially hesitant to have Humber Nurseries create a design given the $750 fee with no discount provided for proceeding to implement the design. A landscape contractor was working on my street and had completed work on two houses. My neighbours informed me that this contractor charged for the initial design, but then subtracted the design fee from the subsequent work he completed. The temptation, therefore, to hire this other contractor was considerable.
After meeting Mr. Stevens my concern was somewhat alleviated given his professionalism and extensive knowledge. We had a thorough discussion of my landscape concerns and how they might be remedied. Mr. Stevens began taking measurements and later returned to complete the task of mapping out both my front and backyard.
However, it was not until I later met with Mr. Stevens to pore over his completed blueprint and to hear him explain the rationale and reasoning behind certain choices of shrub, tree, flower, ground cover and so on, did I realize the full extent of the bargain I had received. His design on paper is a work of precision and art. I look forward with anticipation to witnessing the final results of Mr. Stevens' vision.
As impressed as I now was with Mr. Stevens, it has been the ensuing few weeks that convinced me of Mr. Stevens' commitment and determination to secure a loyal Humber Nurseries customer. After paying my $750 fee and departing with designs in hand, I couldn't help but wonder if assistance would be forthcoming with the inevitable questions that would crop up as I began to implement that portion of the design that I was personally able to perform.
By now I was well aware of Mr. Stevens' exhaustive work schedule and was uncertain that he would be able or willing to find the time to assist me with some questions and clarifications that arose. I needn't have worried. On both occasions when I sought out Mr. Stevens for further counsel and sage advise, he provided me with the sparse moments he had available to answer my questions and ensure that I could proceed with the next step of my landscape project.
I look forward to working with Mr. Stevens in the future, as I gradually transform my yard and hire Humber Nurseries staff to carry out the more difficult and involved portions of the design implementation.
I would wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend Mr. Stevens and Humber Nurseries to any friend or family member seeking gardening and landscape expertise.

Hi Peter
I do apologize for not getting back to you sooner but with summer holiday etc time has flown by. My garden looks lovely and thank you for replanting the one bush. Now that I have the irrgation system working properly the bush gets water and is alive. I want to thank you for the design and I have received many many compliments on the garden totally.
If I want to get additional river rock what is the bet way to do it? Can I get it from you are do I have to go to a stone place?

Hi,
I want to take a moment to write and tell you what a fantastic experience we have had with your landscape designer, Peter Stevens.
A house is bieng built behind our and my husband was very concerned about the lack of privacy. We drove to to Humber on the advise of our neighbours and Ray took us out to see some trees. He wasn't sure exactly what would work in our backyard he suggested that Peter come out and take a look.
Peter called us right away and made an appointment. He cam out and met with us. We discussed the best trees for the backyard, then worked out a plan to beautify the gardens - both front and back - as well.
Within days, Peter arranged for a load of men to carry and plant large cedars in the backyard. The next day, he planted perennials and supervised rows of beautiful boxwood down our front walk. Whenever there was a slight issue he stood with me for however long it took to figure out just thre right solution. No job was too hard or too small for his time and complete focus.
Our ywards are absolutely transformed. We are trilled that we made the trip to Humber that day. We will recommend Humber and Peter Stevens and all of your crew to everyone we know. Thanks for hiring only the best .
